Life is full of unexpected moments that shape our future,
and for me, one of the most crucial events was getting into the English and
Foreign Languages University (EFLU). It wasn’t just about securing admission to
a prestigious institution; it was about proving to myself that I was capable of
achieving something significant. The journey to EFLU changed my perspective on
hardwork, self-belief, what it truly means to step out of one’s comfort
zone and leave home for good.

For as long as I could remember, I wanted to study in an
institution that would challenge me and help me grow. I wanted to be surrounded by people who had a healthy competitive mentality and EFLU had always
fascinated me with its reputation, vibrant campus life, and the
opportunities it offered. But the path to getting there wasn’t easy. The
entrance exam was tough, and self-doubt often crept in. I remember the nights I
spent staring at my books, feeling overwhelmed by the syllabus. But somewhere deep inside, I knew I had to give it my best
shot. There were moments when I felt like giving up. The workload
was intense, and I often questioned whether I was truly capable of passing the
exam and getting there. But I pushed myself beyond my limits, practicing mock tests, reading
extensively, and improving my writing skills. For me, the hardest part of it was the preparation for general test. Several sections in it, like, the current affairs, reasoning seemed very difficult for me. I sought advice from seniors, to whom I am highly grateful and disciplined myself to stay focused. Still, there were
moments of frustration when I wondered if all the effort would be worth it. Was
I really good enough? Could I actually achieve what I had set out to do?

The day the results were announced is etched in my memory. I was travelling back home after a trip. I checked my results. My hands trembled as I opened the website, my heart pounding so loudly. As I scrolled through the list, I could feel
my breath hitching in my throat. And then, there it was: my name. For a moment,
I just stared, unable to process what I was seeing. A wave of emotions crashed
over me. I had done it! I had secured a place at EFLU. My dream had come true. I was manifesting to upgrade my instagram bio to "Efluite'28" and guess what?? It came true!

Tears welled up in my eyes as the reality of the moment sank
in. All the late-night studying, the moments of doubt, and the sacrifices had
paid off. I told it to my family, and their happiness made the victory even
sweeter. My parents, who had always supported my dreams, looked at me with
pride, and for the first time in a long time, I felt truly capable and proud. My friends, who often helped me in self doubt time cheered for me, celebrating my success as if it were their own. The months of
hard work, had all led to this one
moment. It was overwhelming, but in the best possible way.
Arriving at EFLU was like stepping into a whole new world.
The campus buzzed with energy, students from different backgrounds, passionate
discussions in classrooms, and an environment that encouraged curiosity and
creativity. The transition wasn’t easy at first. I was away from home,
surrounded by people who seemed smarter and more confident. But instead of
feeling intimidated, I saw it as an opportunity to grow. I met people who
challenged my perspectives, professors who inspired me, and experiences that shaped
me into a more confident person.
EFLU pushed me out of my comfort zone. I had to learn to
manage responsibilities, balance academics with personal life, and embrace
independence. I struggled at times, but I also discovered my strengths. I
learned to voice my opinions, engage in meaningful conversations, and build
relationships with people from diverse cultures. The university wasn’t just a
place of learning, it became a place of self-discovery, meeting new people and engaging myself productively.

Getting into EFLU wasn’t just about academics, it was about
proving to myself that I could chase my dreams and make them a reality. It
taught me the importance of stepping outside my
comfort zone, and the beauty of embracing new experiences. Today, whenever I
face challenges, I remind myself of that moment when I saw my name on the
admission list. It reminds me that no matter how tough the journey gets,
hardwork and consistency always pays off. Getting into EFLU changed my life, not just because
of where I study, but because of how it shaped me as a person stronger, more
confident, and ready to take on the world.
